What is history? If you look the word history up in the dictionary you will find the following definitions:
A chronological record of significant events often including an explanation of their causes.
An established record.
A branch of knowledge that records and explains past events.
What would history be without the people who lived, worked, and recorded the history? From the beginning of time to the present day we like our
ancestors will continue to live, work and record history.
One of the largest genealogy organizations in the world is Family Search. They have been actively gathering, preserving and sharing their collection
for over 100 years. Although their commitment of helping people with family history is rooted in their believes, their records are open to anyone
whether the person shares their same believes or not.
Family Search records are accessible through their online website or at any of their 4,500 family history centers worldwide.
Many of you are already familiar with the Family Search. org site provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but did you know

Meat, Butter Rationing Ended Last Friday p.m.
Kingston rejoiced with the rest of the Nation last weekend
when it was announced that all rationing of meats, butter, fats,
and oils was at an end. The good news was made public by Secretary
of Agriculture Clayton P. Anderson, and took effect last
Friday at midnight. The only food that remains on the ration
list is sugar. The local ration board office warned that
though all other rationing is over, the public should keep Ration
Book Four if they expect to secure sugar in the future. Predictions
are that it may be the middle of next year before sugar will be ration free.
While there still is a shortage of meats, fats, and oils in the
country, the per capita meat consumption has increased considerably.
Usually. meat is available in larger quantities at present
than at any time for the past year and a half. A greater
variety is also offered. Besides sugar, automobile and
truck tires are the only commodities which are still rationed.
These too are expected to remain on the restricted list until
well into next year.
